Spice It up !! My headline for the day... is for this real gem, small Spice It restaurant at ibis Jaipur.
Small place with inside & outside space for dining, options for sofa & chairs not much crowded, but yes it is really a quiet place for you to unwind an evening with your loved ones...
Coming to the ambience, the restaurant is located at lobby level with couches for waiting at the lobby...
You keep on walking and cross the bar situated adjacent to the restaurant, which is a small bar with some good bar stools.
There is a small banquet connected to the restaurant.
Though the restaurant is small, around 40-45 covers, i guess, but yes the service & food kills it all.....You are blown away with the personalised service of the Chef & Service guys....
The menu has been designed nicely, seems a bit confusing initially, but it is made in way that you just need to see the options below every kind of preparation, if its dal you have options beneath: makhni/tadka/fry, etc... similarly for your paneer: makhni/kadhai, etc...
Yes to especially mention, Chef Vikas, who was there the entire evening to host & take care of our requirements & cooked some great dishes...
If you need a smoking space, you have a small area outside, may be another 20 covers to relax during sunny days & maybe a barbeque night during winters....
The place is inspired by the quick restaurants from the French people who are majorly travelers & want to have a quick meal... but I guess they were not given a chance to showcase their elaborated service which these guys are best at...
The place is having good reviews over the most sought travel websites as well :
Google: 400+ reviews for the hotel.
TripAdvisor: 4 on the restaurant & can really pick if there are some more reviews falling in....& 600+ reviews for the hotel most of which praises on food & service too.
Goibibo gives a good feedback of the service which is an asset to the hotel...
This place can be a rocking stuff, if they add up something on the ambience, strictly on the furniture part...but as ibis is a different concept, so I guess it wont be added up...
Good thing is:
Food: 5/5
Service: 4.5/5
Ambience: 4/5
Location: 4.5/5
Recommended dishes:
Laal Maas/Mushroom Cappuccino/Mezze platter
Move straight on the main hawa sadak road, below the elevated Ajmer road to reach the place, if you are a bullet lover, you would be knowing the location, as its adjacent to the Royal Enfield showroom!!!
Do not keep high hopes of a fine dine restaurant, have in mind that this is a place for quick meals & quick services..... that's what is the USP!
It is a for sure recommendation to people visiting Jaipur or the Jaipurites....
